Wave: Summer Fundraising Exhibition for Women + Health Charity.

Cob.

5 - 14 August 2022

Women + Health charity, Cob Gallery, and Women + Health ambassador and curator Elizabeth Neilson are excited to present a summer fundraising exhibition of women and non-binary artists in support of the Camden-based charity and its vital services.
In response to this, Wave brings together emerging and established artists in support of the charity’s work. Participating artists include, Shadi Al-Atallah, Rafaela de Ascanio, Eileen Cooper, Gaia Fugazza, Natalia Gonzalez Martin, Marcelle Hanselaar, Anna Kenneally, Rachel Kneebone, Robyn Litchfield, Faye Wei Wei, Candida Powell-Williams and Alison Wilding.

Galleries’ commission will go directly to Women + Health. Many of the artists are also donating their commission, meaning that 100% of sales will go to the charity.

Please join us for the private view at Cob Gallery on Thursday 4th August, 6-9pm, where artist Eileen Cooper will be in conversation with art historian Frances Borzello, with drinks provided provided by Something & Nothing Spritz. Following this, local club Koko will host drinks at their newly renovated bar until late.

“I’m thrilled so many women artists have contributed work to support our organisation, which like many small charities, has been hit hard by the financial challenges brought about by Covid-19. Each piece of art purchased helps a woman receive support from Women + Health.” – GemmaTighe, Director of Women + Health

“We’re proud to exhibit such a wonderful range of artists in support of Women + Health, a charity essential to the local community. That we can do something with impact during these uncertain times is uplifting, and it has been gratifying to work with our neighbouring organisations – we’re grateful to all the artists involved, Women + Health and Elizabeth Neilson for their contributions and support.” – Victoria Williams, Director of Cob

“Everyone needs someone to care for them and Women + Health have been providing much needed holistic health support to women in Camden for over 30 years. Often this work and these women are invisible. Through this selling exhibition I hope that these generous artists and the patrons that buy the works will come together to raise much needed funds for the organisation. We want to show these women and others like them that we see them, and that we care.” – Elizabeth Neilson,Women + Health Ambassador and Director of the Zabludowicz Collection

This exhibition is sponsored by Channel 5.
