We invite you to join us for our Annual Sponsored Walk on Saturday, 7th October 2017.
This is the fourth year that Women + Health are taking to the streets of Camden Town in order to celebrate women of years gone by - and at the same time raise much needed cash to help us continue our services for local women on low income.
Whilst this is always a very joyous occasion, the underlying reason for this annual walk is serious. In recent years 95% of organisations providing services for women have experienced cuts to their income and many have gone under. Yet women continue to bear the brunt of austerity measures. Many of the women coming through our doors say they feel invisible and are not sure how to continue with their duties as carers, running a family, recovering from violence or rape - or simply dealing with the stresses of every day living. We offer a holistic programme of talking and body therapies, life coaching, yoga and other group activities.
Our support helps them to feel better, live healthier and regain their power.
Your support helps us to continue with that work.
You can make an early bird donation here.
You can follow the complete walk which is approximately 6 miles long and passes along 22 blue plaques which celebrate some remarkable women, or you might prefer to just visit a few plaques celebrating women of special interest to you.
Either way, we hope to welcome you at our centre in Carol Street for refreshments and a chance to experience a restorative and relaxing shoulder or foot massage.
However large or small you contribution, you will become part of something wonderful - and we thank you for your help.
